BlakBox. All in one, the perfect system
The BlakBox series is the instrument that Digital Luthier® manufactures from scratch for customers that require an exclusive and customized control. It is an ultra-light flightcase with great strength and resistance, and is capable of housing the control circuits involved in the signal processing, along with many other components. The concept and design is made from scratch, with only the BlakBox as a starting point; from there it is possible to customise, choosing the functions that are required.
Robust construction
It allows connections of all the peripherals by delivering the sum of the sources and makes it possible to control them from the control panel. It allows connection with the computer via a single firewire cable, in order to obtain total control of the whole unit. It is fabricated in a highly resistant and transportable box, which is cooled and prepared to function in the most severe conditions.
Smart conception
The vertical design enables the user to make the most out of the space available, and reduce the area between the setup components. The positioning of the connector in the upper side of the front panel permits an easy connection with the rest of the peripheral equipment, especially in unfavourable conditions. The layout of the controllers on the front panel has been designed down to the last detail in order to obtain maximum efficiency in live performances.
Maximum connectivity
The front side offers a never ending choice of configurations to connect all of our instruments live. With a total of 4 simultaneous hardware equipments, mic, rewire and buses it turns into the best kit to get on any stage. Additionally it supports the connection of 6 auxiliary equipments with sending and return, alternated by a manual selector. The MIDI connection is made by the destined port Thru (included) or through an expander with 4 outs (optional).
Analog treatment
Unlike the rest of the equipment components, the whole mixing process is made through analog processing, which offers that special characteristic to the equalization and sound. Nevertheless the communication with the rest of the components is digital. This avoids clicks and interference and provides soft and homogeneous parameters to our controls.
Peripheral accesibility
The equipment is provided with a MIDI or OSC out protocol, both with DIN5 or USB, that allows the chaining of other peripherals and their control. Originally it has 4 MIDI ports, each of them with 16 channels that either through software or the DL BBoxControl® app offer the programming and the total control of the setup. It can also include a laptop attached to it.
Rotatory and ultrasonic
We firmly believe that the touch of the remotes interfere in a proper relationship between the equipment and the user. Without doubt it is the critical point in which all the energy is transduced in an instant of time. That is why we have provided the equipment with first quality buttons and switches, as well as ultrasonic systems that allow the management of the equipment without the need to touch it and make it possible for experimentation to be limitless.
User control
DigiKey® is the key that grants us access to the configuration of the systems that Digital Luthier® manufactures. It also provides a start-up for the equipment that is adapted to every single user. It has a capacity of 32 GB that can store sets, configurations, audio and video. In this way, we can have in just one key several personalized configurations for the different users or multiple sets.
DLio protocol
It is a system that can pair up all the equipment of the Digital Luthier® brand, thanks to specific wiring. It also applies to the first prototype versions. Nowadays it is set up in all of the products that we manufacture, so as to make it possible to obtain the maximum functionality when we are working with different equipment simultaneously.
Digital Luthier warranty
Every single product from Digital Luthier® has been the result of a reasoned process since its initial conception until its final delivery, in order to provide a great quality tool. All of the parts and instruments that we manufacture have their own life and, with proper maintenance, they can last for many years.
