Blok®, also known as digiBlok® is the handmade controller that Digital Luthier® makes for the most demanding musicians and artists. Available in 3 models with different sizes, Uno® Due® y Qad® are the perfect allies, both on stage and in the recording studio.
Logic shape
From putting it on a table to using it in your own hands, each Blok® is perfectly designed and structured to provide versatility, especially weight and rigidity of each of the constructs. The team primarily designed it to allow quick installation and removal in areas where problems exist, mainly locating equipment such as stages, cabins or studios. The slightly inclined angle and the height of the patent have been designed to provide maximum comfort and control when working.
Gathering bloks
digiBlok® easily permits the gathering and ungrouping of modules, which at the same time allows to create plenty of combinations with the available modules uno®, due® y qad®. The electric, electronic and computer connections are obtained with a specific UTP wiring through which flows the DLio protocol, conceived by Digital Luthier to satisfy the needs for energy supply and module communication.
"Z" shaped connection
The energy supply of the compound is obtained either through the computer's own USB or (and especially if there are several devices connected) through the Digital Luthier DLsupply® model, that is plugged into the electric network via a specific wiring that supplies the necessary energy for each of the Blok knobs. Through this very same wiring flows the data that allows the devices to connect to each other reliably and, consequently, uses only one USB, DIN5 or Ethernet to plug it into our computer and control all the modules with just one cable.
Great choice
Besides the components that can be found in our catalogue, we also have many more models from different suppliers. If we do not find the appropiate component we have at our disposal a handmade manufacture service for buttons and controls, considering that many times absolute precision between a person and a computer relies mainly on the touch and size of the components. Our ensemble of equations will give us the results related to the size and shape of the remotes. These results depend on the size of the hand and fingers, if it is right or left handed, the posture and kind of work, etc. With these results we get the perfect size for each of the buttons, as well as for the proper distance between them. All these calculations are without doubt the approaches and tools that will help us to determinate what is the “perfect” machine.

DLio protocol
It is a system that can pair up all the equipment of the Digital Luthier® brand, thanks to specific wiring. It also applies to the first prototype versions. Nowadays it is set up in all of the products that we manufacture, so as to make it possible to obtain the maximum functionality when we are working with different equipment simultaneously.
